Feng Shui & Magick-Revisited
72I have entitled this hub "Feng Shui & Magick" in order to come up with a unique approach to energy´s movement and flow. It is important to understand that all universal laws adjust to the principles of Feng Shui, the five elements and naturally, Mother Nature.
Magick(with a "K") also bases its fundamentals in the Natural forces, for they all interplay to draw the necessary force to perform an incantation, a protection, an activation of elements that can eventually bring good results into fruition.
So there´s no contradiction in combining good old magick with Feng Shui, and I shall attempt to illustrate that to the best of my knowledge. I´m no Feng Shui expert nor a consecrated wizard to begin with, but I´m a serious student of the theme in question.
I shall try my very best to make this article, easy to understand, useful and enjoyable. So fasten your seat belts and dig the ride...
The basics of Feng Shui orbit around the Ba-Gua Map. The Ba-Gua Map focuses on the coordinates within a room or facility to activate, move, improve or change the energies affecting the environment. We act upon these energies to stimulate prosperity, love, abundance, success, etc.
Eight main areas are located on the Ba-Gua Map: North, Northeast, Northwest, South, Southeast, Southwest, East and West. However, the Ba-Gua located at the very center of any environment represents health and spirituality.
It is important to remember that when you decide to Feng Shui your house, office or room, you must work all Ba-Gua areas in order to obtain the proper energy balance. If you work prosperity but ignore health or love and relationships; you will be hindering the ideal energy development and marring the overall flow of it.
This article does not pretend to substitute the work of a Feng Shui expert, but attempts to shed some light on the basic knowledge to learn what to do. The mystique of Feng Shui is not merely an old oriental infatuation, it is a very detailed guide about geomancy and universal laws.
Every element has its own energy and it is important to understand how they relate to one another. Colliding energies will produce negative effects. Compatible energies will enhance the positive ones.
This is paramount because there are two element cycles in Feng Shui: The destructive cycle and the generating cycle. We need to learn how to use any of the cycles to benefit from them. In the generating cycle, the elements complement each other. In the destructive cycle, we use an element to destroy the predominant influence that causes Chi imbalance.
To determine the predominant elements in a person, you take his/her date of birth and look up in Chinese astrology the animal, the Kua number (it determines best directions for Chi flow) and the negative directions to avoid enhancing them. It is not something to be stressed about, but it will make the balancing of energies much easier and simple.
People are divided into East or West people. Every direction has four positive coordinates and four negative coordinates. East or West positive and negative directions are the same for every person, but they have different positioning for every category (Love, family, finances, etc).

In ritual Magick you use the elements of Nature to invoke and evoke energies in order to obtain something specific. Water represents emotions, Earth the physical world, Air the mind and Fire the spiritual feelings and main driving force of life. How do you combine this concepts with those of Feng Shui? Well, to begin with, in Magick you balance the four elements for an excess of either one will cause discomfort in many areas.
A person whose water(emotions) is too strong will face problems handling relationships. The balancing of Feng Shui elements, which basically applies to the environment, will harmonize the surrounding Chi and remove unwanted negative energy thus making it easier to balance his/her lack or excess of Natural elements.
As Feng Shui uses anchors, objects or activators to generate Chi, Magick uses incantations, power harnessing objects and solid faith in the Higher Power. If you learn how to combine appropriately these two philosophies, you can obtain anything, providing that you do not use it to harm anybody, not even yourself. Remember: Thou Shall harm none!
The foundation of Feng Shui stems from the I-Ching Oracle, its trigrams and hexagrams and the cycle of the elements. Feng Shui means: Wind and water. Wind as the immutable, unaffected element representing the all pervading heavenly forces and its sacred symbol: the dragon.
Water; on the other hand, is affected by other elements and at the same time affects other elements. Therefore, the five Feng Shui elements are: Water, Fire, Wood, Metal and Earth. To obtain the best results it is paramount to focus your thoughts and intent to work with the universe and Nature, otherwise the results are either mediocre or a big failure.
A piece of advice: Should you consider combining Feng Shui and Magick, remember to reconcile concepts from Eastern and Western Philosophies. The Dragon represents the most important element in Feng Shui, but Westerners see Dragons as evil-portraying creatures.
I hope you found this article useful and fun.
Heavenly Blessings to you all, my dearest Brothers and Sisters,
I LOVE YOU ALL,
Al

Very useful, although if I could give you a suggestion. Well, really, it's my opinion and don't take it to heart. I think you should add more text and maybe remove some of the videos you have posted...I'd like to hear more of what you have to say in relation to Feng Shui and not so much watch all of the videos posted. Great job, though. I've voted this hub up and useful!
