A Poem for my little daughter-An eternal instant of joy-
68I have dedicated this poem to my sweet daughter: Sué (pronounced SOOEH) Daniella. She is seven years old and doesn`t live with me since she was one year old. I woke up this morning with the poem echoing in my head.
The funniest thing was that I dreamed about it in English. She and I have a beautiful relationship, her mom, her stepdad and I are very good friends, and we see each other every other weekend though we speak on the phone more often.
I have shared with her many places, movies, computer games, attraction parks, meals, malls; but we have never shared a day at the beach and that was the dream about and that inspired this poem. Thank you for reading it friends. It means a lot to me.
Warmest hugs, lots of love and infinite heavenly blessings,
I LOVE YOU ALL
Al

How is your relationship like with your little daughter(if you have one)?
See results without votingAn eternal instant of joy-
I glowed like the sun as your small steps imprinted
their barefooted traces in the wet sand
Your racing was like the wind; free, caressing,
refreshing and uncaring of the surroundings
Time seemed to pause while I waited
with my arms as a cross less christ;
pain free, proud and happy
Foamy waves embraced your slender,
cinnamon thighs as your smile became
focused and your brown sugar,
almond eyes flickered at me mischievously
My heart pumped like a young and wild
bronco enjoying its first unrestricted race,
endless, addictive, and reassuring
Two splashy leaps and your warm arms
were hanging from my neck, almost bringing me down.
A flash touch of lips and then your legs
were tightening around my waist followed
by the sweetest words ever heard: “I love you, daddy”
P.S
I love you too, baby!

What a beautiful poem for a beautiful little girl! Thanks so much, Al. I loved the part about the wet sand. I hope she enjoys this.
Beautilful...congratulations, poet. Kisses
What a beautiful gift to your sweet beautiful daughter. You are a lucky guy.
How great it is to have parents who love their children as much as you do. You belong to a crowd worthy of praises. Children are blessed with wonderful memories of parents like you. Your poem illustrates the playful things we do to our children when they are younger. Keep up the great works of parenthood. Enjoy it while you can, for they will never wait for time, they grow so fast, you cannot even grasp the moment. Thank you for sharing this beautiful thought and poem. Lovely! More power. Keep on.
Beautiful poem my friend your daughter is beautiful and lucky to have such a loving and faithful father.
Sue is absolutely beautiful, as is your poem.
I must admit, I hardly ever read the creative works here on HubPages and on similar sites. It's difficult to find good quality work when publication is virtually unrestricted. However, this poem was a pleasant surprise -- it's moving and vivid, and I really enjoyed reading it. Thanks for opening me up to the creative writing section of HubPages! :)
What a beautiful poem. And what beautiful photos. You can see the love you have for your kids radiate from within the photograph. Unconditional love is such a wonderful blessing isn't it? being able to give it freely and receive it in return. The best of blessings from our Heavenly Father. HUGS!
Beautiful words for a beautiful little girl.
Thank you for proudly sharing this one with us.
