If you were a god- A prose-poem (Mine Olde Storyteller’s lair)
63Greetings, my dear Time Traveler. I am so sorry, I was gone for quite a while, but I have been way too busy. Yes, you know, the usual thing: gathering scrolls doing and recording interviews, traveling in time back and forth. Oh yes, It can be quite laborious but that is my duty.
What’s that, dear friend? Oh? Really? And you say you prepared this tea blend yourself? But I doubt it will beat the taste of my good ol’ green tea. Naturally, we will try it! And yes, you’re welcome to brew it yourself! Be careful, though, that old stove of mine has a life of its own. It was a gift from Merlin. Precisely! The self-same wizard.
No! Of course, it won’t bite! It is a stove for goodness’ sake. Well, while you are at it, I am going to share with you an interesting scroll I got a few months back. It is a very personal view from a god that wanted to relinquish his powers because he couldn’t deal with human suffering. Speaking of duty…
However, I urge you to analyze his reasons and listen carefully to his own voice. Oh! No, he isn’t here right now, but his scroll is special. It will speak out by itself with the god’s own voice. I tell you, it touched my heart! Tea is ready? Wonderful! Grab your stool, as this time I’ll be listening just as you will be.

The Amphora of my secrets-Confessions of a god
I
Here I am!
Presumably happy because I am a god; nonetheless,
my tears of fire have scared my face.
Scars that shall not regenerate for their essence is
deep pain. Pain of innocence
A tiny child was praying
before my altar, he kneeled
in his sweet words he was saying
“Beg for mummy to be healed”
(Assuming in his naiveté, otherwise, he would have to live life on his own)
So I questioned myself:
If long ago candor’s reign
used to be truly immortal,
why has it turned into pain,
unlocking Hades’ portal?
(Nourishing perversity and hunger for murder)
Those smiles that in bright faces,
represented mankind’s treasures,
between evil and sheer pleasures,
have become monsters’ embraces
(monsters which come out of the closet but are invisible to the human eye)
If you were granted the opportunity of becoming a god to care for Earth, would you feel capable of doing it?
See results without votingII
I am looking at egotism and greed
wildly beating each other to death
they’ll battle ‘till have no breath
no matter how much they bleed
(The struggle is so intense that it could go on for days, weeks, even years. What a waste of sacred time!)
Another little one kneels,
weeping for his mother’s strife,
he’s offering me his life,
to cure all what she feels
(How can I accept such an abdication from the hands of purity?)
I gently whisper in his heart
that she won’t have to depart,
there’s no need for sacrifice
for his pure love will suffice
(However, I haven’t been requested such a petition from a grown up. How sad, how very sad, indeed!)
So badly marred is my face
caused by endless tears of grief,
it would give him no relief,
If I dared show my disgrace
(So I’ll just sing songs of love and hope to his ears and give him Light)
III
The Amphora of my secrets overflows with lost opportunities,
prayers of children in agony and desolation; forbidden actions
for gods, and countless vain requests from shallow, selfish adults.
Today, tired from its incredible weight, I shatter the vase against
the marble of my temple, and scrutinize what’s worth saving.
Supplications from pure creatures
glittering with chastity and love
prayers that have gone above
inspired by inner teachers
(Only the spontaneous ones, those forced upon by grownups are burnt in the Sacred fire)
Mothers’ kisses to their babies
a special treatment they get
their deeds are absent of “may be’s”
and no actions to regret
(Goodness in this world, is measured by mothers’ devotion, their advices and sacrifices)
To my Father I had begged
to quit this painful position,
but abandoning this mission,
who would he place instead?
(After all, I am so connected to the necessities and feelings of humans, that I was appointed god of Gaia. And as the Christ said: “To enter the Kingdom of my Father, you’d have to be born again”- To become pure and innocent like a child-) “
You must watch this! It will be rewarding!
It gives you a lot to think about, does it not? Yes, he used to be human! He evolved and ascended spiritually and requested to The Great Architect Himself, an opportunity to help out the human race as an intermediary between man and The Holy Father.
It was granted, but after a while he quit. He was appointed as a Cosmic Guardian, and he’s doing just fine. Naturally, he learned a good lesson: Mankind has the responsibility to evolve on his own. Mankind must learn to become one unified race and connect with The Great Architect as ONE.
You think it over too! Hey, this is a great tea blend! I suppose you could share a few seeds to cultivate it myself in here, couldn’t you? Wonderful!
Until next time, then; my dear Time Traveler. Don’t forget my seeds! Bye now!!

I loved it and the way you wrote it. Its so magical. I can also totally empathize some how. I know you think gods are perfect but are they. Look at us as humans can our creator be proud? Does he regret?
Luminary Excelsior! Thanks Al.
