Winners or Losers?

There´s a great deal of things you can relate to these two nouns. Nonetheless, to most people, what comes to mind is the money factor. Now, I´d like to clarify this: Because money is a means of exchange for goods, services or commodities you need, it becomes a great power, mostly misused.

In itself, money is just a token of trade. The power bestowed upon it,relies on the interests of the traders. The trader with more money has more power, thus he/she defines the rules of the trade. Bear with me as I´m not trying to prove any economics theory here. Far from it, I´m trying to establish the consequences of money´s misused power.

Money can buy fame, goods, services, protection, defense, votes, sex, and favors, almost anything but love. Whosoever dares say that money can buy love is as lost as a polar bear on a tropical island. True prosperity, which is originated in selfless love, is not about winning or losing. It´s about giving.

Believe it or not, there are many wealthy people who know not the meaning of true prosperity. Let me put it to you this way: Money is a good servant when properly and kindly used, but it´s a cruel, addictive master when it isn´t. That´s the reason it goes so well with human greed.

I can imagine your mind´schit-chat at this very moment: “Oh! Yeah? So who´s gonna pay the bills?”, “Whatam I gonna do with the kids’ school?”, “Man, the meat prices have rocketed thismonth”…

Brothers and sisters, whydo you think the world´s economy has turned into the Tower of Pisa (No offenseintended, Amici italiani), lopsided? Humankind has lost his sense ofspirituality by worrying more about money than anything else.

You are NOT going to take your assets and/ormoney with you when you die, so why is this paranoia of wanting more? When you accumulate obsessively, you break aUniversal Law, The Law of Rhythm:”everything flows and re-flows”. A selfish accumulation ofmoney, and therefore, power; does not allow the free flow of it. You may makemore, but believe me you will lose even more.

I´d like to know how manytrue believers in God, devote a tenth of their gross earnings to spreading theHoly Word? I´m not in front of yourP.C screen, yet I can see guilt written all over your face. Why? Simply, becauseyou put money on an altar before putting God.

No need to get excited! I knowyou can find wealthy and poor people out there who selflessly give one tenth oftheir gross earnings to spread the Holy Word. Not a vast majority, though!

Do not get me wrong! I am not talking about charity. I am talking about actually participating with your tenth on spreading the Word of God. It is not giving to your church and then letting them handle it. Devote time printing some hand outs, pamphlets and then you can give them to your church or to nursing houses.

Offer your time for printing or typing writings needed to create awareness. Use that tenth to buy the ink and paper you need for that purpose. Charity is beautiful, especially when it does not hide an ulterior motive such as: paying less taxes or justifying “expenses” your partner, spouse or family may not know about.

A poor man/woman can do some true charity work and spend but a few bucks on it. A wealthy man/woman can create Foundations, Charity fairs, Homeless Support Programs, and still not be sincere, using pure unadulterated hypocrisy, politics. Having in the end, a concealed reason aiming at self-benefit. It depends on the intent not on the amount of money given.

Can you call that love? Charity? Kindness? No, you can´t! How do you truly spread the Holy Word? Make your donations in goods, not cash!  Order, let´s say, 100 Bibles or 100 Qurans or 100 Upanishads, and give them away freely, in fact, remain anonymous.

The trouble begins when you seek recognition and “sanctity”. Knowing well that kindness is voiceless and compassion is blind, as I said before in another hub. Everything ALWAYS boils down to one word: CHOICE.

Are you a true winner?

  • Yes, I am!
  • I am working on it!
  • Well...Maybe
  • Winner of what?
See results without voting

This is when reality hits you between the eyes. The true holy treasures such as peace, love, gratitude, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, true spiritual support; cannot be bought! You earn them with honesty, sincerity, cleanliness of heart. No money can buy them no matter from what angle you look at it.

A true winner earns the holy treasures; a loser thinks the world is his/her oyster because of money power. This does not mean money is bad. It means, money power is neutral and you choose whether to use it for selfish purposes or not.

Winning or losing in a poker game, at the horse races, anything related to gambling is temporary because the vibration self-contained in that kind of money is greed, selfishness, trickery, manipulation, dirty politics,

dirty law. It is never money that brings a relaxing existence.

In that world, you have enemies less or more powerful than you, but enemies, nonetheless. Your family lives on a tightrope. Honesty, kindness, sincerity are nonexistent. It´s do, agree or die. Everything is a mask, an armor. Love takes a back seat and lust, depravation and sex for sex´s sake take over.

If that is the type of winner you want to become, go ahead and enjoy while it lasts, but you can be sure there´s no eternal bliss in it. Those are the true losers. Needing to possess money power to feel sure of themselves, they do not have the humility it takes to see beyond material assets.

Oh! I guarantee you somewhere inside them, the spirit has been gagged so it cannot talk, so they don´t have to face conscientiousness; but that feeling is ever wrestling inside them, despite their fortunes and possessions. Their spirituality has been restrained so they can indulge themselves in worldly pleasures.

You may say: “So, is it bad to be rich?” Of course not! What´s bad is how you acquire that wealth and how you use it. Sharing with others less fortunate and needy is important if you have the means.

Then I hear you screaming in your mind: “What? Are you nuts?” “You know how much it has taken me to get all that?”

The Law of Rewards: Giving what you can't keep to gain what you can't lose.
Randy Alcorn, best-selling author of The Treasure Principle, makes a clear, compelling case for an underemphasized scriptural principle: that believers will receive differing rewards in heaven depending on their actions and choices here on earth. Taken mainly from excerpts of Money, Possessions, and Eternity, The Law of Rewards shows how our faith determines our eternal destination but our behavior determines our eternal rewards.

Money, Possessions, and Eternity
What does the Bible really say about money? This completely revised and updated version of the classic best-seller provides a Christian perspective about money and material possessions based on the author's painstaking study of the Bible. Randy Alcorn uses the Scriptures to approach this often touchy subject head-on. Thought-provoking arguments challenge readers to rethink their attitudes and use their God-given resources in ways that will have an eternal impact. Alcorn deals straightforwardly with issues of materialism, stewardship, prosperity theology, debt, and more. An excellent choice for group study as well as individual financial guidance. Includes a study guide and appendix with additional resources.

You know the answer. Go deep within your heart, you´ll find your own answer. Let me show you an analogy of money as a token and why by itself without purpose it is useless:

There are many ways to obtain money, its only purpose being: exchanging it for commodities, services and goods.

· You can obtain it by earning it through work

· Through circulation and flow(Investments)

· Through an inherited right(heir)

· Through trade(buying and selling services, goods or commodities)

· Through charity(freely given to you)

These tokens are generated by proper deeds, earned deeds.

At the same time, the self-same tokens can be generated by ill-intent deeds, unlawful deeds. Let´s compare:

· You obtain money by robbing a facility or a person, or by fraud

· Through monopoly and control of acquired assets by using fear threats or even murder

· Through a stolen heir right (by eliminating heir with forged papers, or by murdering another beneficiary)

· Through trade (by overpricing, offering low quality goods, and absorbing the small competitors through mergers, where the new partner loses identity and decision power)

· Through “disguised” charity(by altering data of accounting books and covering the tracks with more money)

When your tokens are positive, honestly obtained and selflessly shared, they will multiply like magic. They´ll be ever flowing. When your tokens are negative, ill-obtained and selfishly shared, they will multiply but will run out quicker, demanding every time more of those ill-conceived ideas and procedures.

The Universal Laws are instantaneous, even if you don´t see the results right away. They´re set in motion and when you least expect them, they´re collecting dues or bringing rewards.

Remember: a good token can be overridden by 2 or 3 bad tokens. So it doesn´t do any good to earn an honest token if you´re going to misuse it later. The reverse is the same. A bad token is overridden by 2 or 3 good tokens, but you must not go back to foul play again.

A few last reminders:

·       Do not make money your goal

·       Money is a means not a goal

·       Learn to share from your heart

·       Give selflessly

·       You cannot buy everything. No matter how much money power you possess

·       Happiness, Love, Honesty can´t be bought

·       Those virtues you earn and there´s no cheating possible.

Do not believe anything I´m saying here. Just ponder over it! Do it calmly not passionately. Think with your heart and soul not with your rational mind. In the end you´ll realize that whatever happens rests in your hands. The Choice is always yours to make.

Warmest regards and infinite heavenly blessings,

I LOVE YOU ALL,

AL

Quoted for truth Al! Though I do find myself guilty of worry over money an paying the bills, but then its like I hear this voice saying not to worry put your faith in me. So I did and leave all up to Father. I may be poor but Im really am the most content than when I was working so hard for the all mighty dollar and had money.

Very good, and rightly said. The concept of disguised charities reminds me of Bill Gates and his foundation. Rated up. :)
